・Do you have BBQ facilities?
Yes, we provide a charcoal BBQ grill and tools, as well as outdoor furniture for you to enjoy outdoor dining in the garden.
・Do you have air conditioning in the house?
Yes, starting from the 2024 summer season, there will be air conditioning in the public areas, but not in each bedroom. We provide fans for each bedroom.
・What kind of heating do you have during winter?
A kerosene heater is installed in the main lounge, and there are some electric heaters provided for each room.
・Do you accommodate big groups, more than 7 people?
Yes, we are planning to open another house right next to Mountain View Totoro, and will soon be able to accommodate up to 14 guests between the two houses. It will be ideal for a big family vacation or two groups.
・Should I rent a car to get around?
Yes, as public transportation is limited here, we recommend exploring by car. Especially to visit the Shakotan Peninsula where you can see nice coastal scenery in summer and get to the ski fields in winter.
・Do you have a dedicated car park?
Yes, Beachfront Fugoppe has a spacious private parking space for up to 3 cars. Mountain View Totoro has parking space for 1 car, but if you are traveling with a large vehicle, especially in winter, please consult us in advance.
・What if we don’t rent a car?
You can still take a train from New Chitose Airport. Find more information here. We recommend staying at Mountain View Totoro. It’s located near the town center.
・We are not confident driving on snow.
Although all rental cars are equipped with snow tires, driving in winter in Hokkaido requires caution and experience. You are welcome to contact us for a private transportation service. After mid-March, the roads become easier to drive.
・When is the ski/snow season in Yoichi/Hokkaido?
If you are an experienced skier and want to ski on Hokkaido’s powder snow, January and February are good times. If you are a beginner skier or a non-skier who just wants to see the snow, we recommend traveling in early to mid-December, or March to avoid crowds and high prices.
